Paris Saint-Germain Edges Marseille in a Shootout to Secure Trophee des Champions Super Cup in Kuwait.

PSG has now secured the prestigious trophy on 14 different occasions.

Paris Saint-Germain needed a stoppage-time leveler followed by a perfect spot-kick decider to overcome their arch-rivals in Kuwait and secure a record-extending fourth consecutive French Super Cup victory.

The Champions League holders appeared to be sailing towards a comfortable win in the match featuring the French league winners and the Coupe de France winners after Ousmane Dembele found the net in the opening stages.

However, the southern French side struck two times late to take a surprise advantage. Initially, Mason Greenwood converted from the spot-kick, before Willian Pacho inadvertently turned the ball into his own net for an own-goal.

In a breathtaking twist of fortune, the Portuguese striker snatched a crucial equaliser in the dying moments to force the match into a penalty shootout. The Parisian shot-stopper Chevalier then stood as the hero, saving crucial kicks from O'Riley and Hamed Traore.

From the spot, Ramos, the midfielder, the full-back, and the young talent all converted with composure for Paris Saint-Germain to seal a convincing penalty victory.

The record champions PSG, who faced last season's Ligue 1 second-placed team Marseille after achieving a domestic double, have now lifted this competition for the twelfth time in the last 13 seasons.
