Area Law Enforcement
Around 50 cars have been smeared with what seems to be human bodily fluid in the Germany's town of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, according to police.
Cars, building surfaces and mailboxes were marked, sometimes with swastikas, they announced in a official communication.
Law enforcement report they were notified in the late hours on Wednesday evening, when a individual noticed that a automobile in the Lamboy neighborhood of Hanau had been smeared with a reddish-hued substance.
The fluid had been drawn in the pattern of a Nazi symbol, they added.
Law enforcement then discovered numerous other marked vehicles and house walls in the surrounding area.
Nazi symbols are prohibited in Germany under laws prohibiting the public display of Nazi symbols.
Officials state early analysis indicate the liquid was probably human blood.
"Currently there is no clue as to its origin; investigators are not yet aware of any injuries in relation with the occurrence," they commented.
Municipal representatives announced they were trying "to resolve the case" and have requested to the community for tips.
An important representative stated the vandalism rendered him stunned and had to be resolved promptly.
"This incident affects the center of Hanau and reopens the wounds of the extremist terrorist attack half a decade ago," he posted on a platform, recalling the death of nine individuals by a gunman focusing on people of migrant background in five years prior.
